Driving lessons taken in Petts Wood

Passed with Karen

"I chose Dean Wyatt Driving School because of their excellent reviews and the fact that my husband had previously learned to drive with them. They've now become our go-to family driving school. They seemed like a reliable, professional choice, and I really liked the structured approach they offered to learning. There was definitely more to learn than I initially expected, but the overall experience was far more enjoyable and less stressful than I imagined. I thought I would feel overwhelmed, but the lessons were broken down clearly and made everything feel manageable. My instructor, Karen, was incredibly patient, supportive, and always explained things clearly and understandably. The lessons were well-structured, and the calm, encouraging environment made a big difference. After a negative experience with a previous school, where I was dropped just three days before my test with the suggestion to take my own car, I found it difficult to trust again. But Karen completely changed that. Her professionalism and honesty built my confidence back up, and she always gave me a realistic and supportive view of my progress. I would absolutely recommend you to others because the standard of teaching was excellent, and I felt confident and well-prepared for my test. The whole experience—from the first lesson to the day of the test—was professional, friendly, and supportive throughout. I was very happy with the service overall. If I were to suggest one improvement, it would be to offer more mock tests—especially with a different instructor—to help students get used to handling stress and nerves when driving with someone unfamiliar, like on test day. But aside from that, everything was excellent!"

Congratulations to Anu J who passed her practical driving test today 28th May 2025 FIRST TIME with only 3 driving faults. Anu had 36 hours of lessons elsewhere where she really just drove around not learning anything of real value. Anu thought she was doing well as there was no/very little feedback. Then just before the test the instructor said he wouldn’t take her and there were no more lessons available. This is when Anu came to me. Sadly, the previous instructor had taught Anu nothing of real value and allowed a lot of bad habits such as “coasting”, so together we got to work on unlearning all of the bad habits and starting to learn the driving skills to make a safe driver. Anu you have worked so hard with a really challenging situation and I know it has been a long journey for you, but you kept working hard in your lessons alongside all of your other responsibilities and I couldn’t be happier for you. Well done from Karen your Driving Instructor and all of the Dean Wyatt Driving School team.
